Founded in 1881 in Tokyo, Japan by the current Seiko CEO's great, grandfather, the company initially started as a clock and watch repair shop. With the name derived from Seikosha’ or ‘House of precision', Seiko has become a world renowned watch maker, known for their innovation and released their first ever Quartz watch in 1969. To this day, Seiko continues to create innovative, precise and beautiful timepieces and has a number of sub-brands including Astron, Presage, Prospex, 5 Sports, Premier and Coutura.
